SNA Conducts Planned Operation in Bay Region Targeting Al-Shabaab Hideouts
Bay, (SONNA) — Somali National Army forces conducted a planned operation in Yaaq-Doomaar, Bay region, targeting locations used by Al-Shabaab militants as hideouts and staging areas.
The operation was carried out by the 161st Battalion of the 16th Danab Special Forces Brigade, which destroyed the targeted sites. During the operation, an Al-Shabaab member surrendered to the Somali forces.
The operation aimed to disrupt Al-Shabaab activities and strengthen security across communities in the Bay region.
