SNA Commander Visits Gorgor Command in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commander of the Somali National Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, conducted a working visit to the 1st Division of the Gorgor Commando Forces in Mogadishu, where he met with officers and personnel of the 21st Brigade.

The Army Commander urged the troops to effectively fulfil their national duties, uphold discipline and unity, and maintain a high level of readiness and operational preparedness to carry out their assigned responsibilities.

The Commander of the 1st Gorgor Division, Col. Saahid Jama Farah Jarrare, welcomed the Army Commander during the visit.

The Army Commander also held a separate meeting with senior leadership officers to discuss the overall situation of the armed forces, strengthening assigned duties and improving military readiness and efficiency.

The discussions further focused on strengthening leadership, coordination of operations and support for personnel to ensure the effective fulfilment of national duties and enhance the operational capabilities of the Somali National Army.
