SNA’s Land Forces Commander Inspects Frontline Positions in Hiraan Region

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commander of the Somali National Army’s Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, today visited the frontlines in Teedaan, Hiraan region, where he inspected the forward defensive positions of the Somali National Army.

The Commander received a briefing from the Commander of the SNA 27th Division, Colonel Ali Cagey, on the overall situation in the area and ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab.

Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi commended the troops for their sacrifice and courage, as well as their continued vigilance against enemy movements and their determination on the frontlines.

The Somali National Army and Local Defence Forces are conducting extensive operations against Al-Shabaab in parts of the Hiraan region.
