Riham Crowned Miss Somalia in Mogadishu

Mogadishu(SONNA)-Riham Ismail Mohamed was crowned Miss Somalia at a grand finale held at the Guryo-Samo Center in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
Organized and sponsored by the Somali Icons Agency, the event brought together government officials, public figures, youth representatives, artists, designers, media personalities and social media influencers.
Riham emerged victorious following a competition featuring several contestants, with the ceremony showcasing Somali fashion, cultural heritage and artistic performances.
Among the prominent attendees were Abdikafi Mahamud Makaran, Chairman of the Somali National Youth Council, and former Federal MP Mohamed Omar Ma'low.
Speakers highlighted the importance of cultural and creative events in empowering Somali youth, promoting national talent and celebrating the country’s heritage.
“I am proud to hold the title of Miss Somalia,” Riham said, dedicating her victory to young people and creators working to promote Somalia’s image.
“This is only the beginning of a journey aimed at serving the community and showcasing our rich heritage and authenticity,” she added.
