Prime Minister Hamza Sends Congratulations on Somali National Flag Day

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, sent congratulations to all the Somali people wherever they are on the occasion of Somali Flag Day.

Prime Minister Hamza noted that Flag Day holds special significance for everyone who carries the Somali identity, and is of great importance in the history of our nation, as today marks the day the Somali flag was raised on Somali soil. He noted that the flag is a symbol of the freedom, unity, solidarity and nationhood of the Somali people.

The Prime Minister called on the Somali people to protect the unity of our country, achieve peace, peaceful coexistence, and uphold the reputation of the flag of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
