Prime Minister Hamza Reviews Performance of Federal Ministries

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, conducted a performance review and accountability assessment of ministers of the National Interest Government as part of efforts to monitor the implementation of government programmes and priorities.
During meetings with the ministers, the Prime Minister said the assessment aims to review work and tasks completed during the current year and measure progress against commitments signed by each minister.
He noted that where challenges or obstacles have affected the implementation of programmes, the government will work to address shortcomings and adjust the objectives and targets outlined in the agreements signed with ministers to improve implementation and achieve expected results.
For the first time, the accountability and performance assessment was conducted through a digital system designed to rank ministries according to their performance levels and recorded results.
The initiative forms part of the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen accountability, assess government performance and enhance monitoring of ministries’ implementation of approved plans and commitments.
