Prime Minister Hamza Opens Somalia Tourism Exhibition in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today opened the Somalia Tourism Exhibition on the outskirts of Mogadishu, organised by the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.

Hundreds of residents attended the exhibition, which showcased Somalia’s tourism potential and attractions.

H.E. Hamza said Somalia has significant tourism opportunities that can contribute to the national economy if the necessary conditions are met, including appropriate human resources, modern technology and skills.

The Prime Minister commended private businesses and others investing in Somalia’s tourism sector, particularly coastal tourism, which he identified as offering some of the country’s major opportunities.

H.E. Hamza also addressed national sovereignty and unity, describing a letter submitted to the United Nations by a politician as unfortunate and damaging to the country’s sovereignty and unity.

He stressed that national unity stands above political differences and disagreements, describing it as a legacy passed from one generation to another and one for which Somalis have sacrificed lives and resources.
