Prime Minister Hamza Lays Foundation Stone for the Ministry of Commerce

Mogadishu(SONNA)-Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, as part of the Federal Government's efforts to strengthen key public institutions and support economic growth.
Addressing the ceremony, the Prime Minister said the ministry plays a central role in promoting trade, boosting domestic production, attracting investment, and creating a favorable business environment.
""Rebuilding the ministry's nearly 50-year-old headquarters is a vital step. The ministry is a key national institution driving trade and productive sector development," Prime Minister Hamza said.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving the infrastructure of national institutions to enhance public service delivery and expand opportunities for trade and investment.
"Our country is moving toward development and increased production, and many factories owned by Somali and foreign investors are expected to be established in the near future," he added.
The Prime Minister also commended Minister of Commerce and Industry Jamaal Mohamed Hassan for spearheading the reconstruction project, describing it as an important step toward strengthening the ministry's capacity and improving its services.
