Prime Minister Hamza Inaugurates New Two-Kilometer Road in Daynile District

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today inaugurated a newly constructed two-kilometer paved road in Mogadishu’s Daynile District, a project implemented by the Banadir Regional Administration.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), Banadir Regional Deputy Governor for Security and Politics Mohamed Ahmed Dirie (Yabooh), and Deputy Governor for Public Works Abdimajid Dahir Adan.
Speaking at the event, officials described infrastructure development as a cornerstone of economic growth, social progress, and the modernization of the capital.
They reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Government of Somalia and the Banadir Regional Administration to continue implementing road construction projects and expanding essential public services.
The new road is expected to significantly improve the movement of people and vehicles, enhance connectivity between neighborhoods in Daynile District, facilitate commercial activity, and strengthen key infrastructure. The project forms part of the Banadir Regional Administration’s broader efforts to modernize Mogadishu’s road network and improve public services.
