President Hassan Sheikh Witnesses Swearing-In of New Chief Justice

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Ibrahim Idle Suleiman.

In brief remarks at the ceremony, the President urged the new Chief Justice to discharge his constitutional responsibilities with transparency, integrity and accountability.

He emphasised the importance of safeguarding judicial independence, upholding the rule of law and ensuring equal access to justice for all citizens.

The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the House of the People, the First Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, and the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
