President Hassan Sheikh Recognizes Ministry of Finance as Somalia’s Best-Performing Ministry

MOGADISHU, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today presented the State Minister of Finance, H.E. Raho Mohamud Janaqow, with an award recognising the Ministry of Finance as the best-performing ministry in this year’s government-wide performance evaluation.

The award was presented during the annual accountability exhibition, which assessed the performance of government ministries against their 2026 plans, targets and responsibilities.

President Hassan Sheikh commended the government for its efforts to implement national plans and improve public services, while urging ministries to build on the results achieved and address areas requiring further improvement.

The recognition places the Ministry of Finance at the top of the 2026 government performance assessment, highlighting its performance in delivering on its planned objectives.
