President Hassan Sheikh Presides Over Graduation of Somali Military Officers at TURKSOM

Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Friday presided over the graduation ceremony of Somali National Army officers and deputy officers who successfully completed a year-long military training program at the TURKSOM Military Training Academy in Mogadishu.

The President witnessed a military parade conducted by the graduating officers and the troops they are expected to command, praising their dedication, discipline, and professionalism throughout the training. He described the graduates as the future leaders of the Somali National Army and urged them to serve the nation with integrity, competence, and patriotism.

President Hassan Sheikh reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to rebuilding, modernizing, and strengthening the Somali National Army to enhance its ability to safeguard national security, defend the country's sovereignty, and intensify operations against the Al-Shabaab militant group.

He also expressed appreciation to the Government of Turkey for its continued support in training and developing Somalia's security forces, saying the partnership has played a vital role in building a professional and capable national army prepared to meet the country's security challenges.
