President Hassan Sheikh Meets Kuwait Crown Prince on UNGA Sidelines

NEW YORK, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a sideline meeting with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting focused on strengthening relations and cooperation between Somalia and Kuwait in areas of importance to the development and interests of the two peoples, as well as the regional situation and security developments in the Middle East.

H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud emphasised the importance of the historic relations between Somalia and Kuwait, stressing the need to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of security, diplomacy and development.
