President Hassan Sheikh Inaugurates First Phase of Dhuusamareeb Road Project

Dhuusamareeb, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, accompanied by the President of Galmudug State, Ahmed Abdi Karie, officially inaugurated the first phase of the Dhuusamareeb city road construction project and the Green Monument in the city.

President Hassan Sheikh commended the Galmudug State leadership for its effective management of the project and for ensuring that its implementation proceeded as planned, with particular attention to construction quality and technical standards.

President Hassan Sheikh said the projects represent progress in Dhuusamareeb’s infrastructure and urban development and will significantly contribute to improved mobility for residents and economic growth in the area. He also thanked the World Bank and the Ministry of Public Works of the Federal Government of Somalia for their contributions to the planning, financing and implementation of the projects.

Finally, the President commended Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Karie for the lasting legacy and important history he is leaving in the region. He called on the people of Galmudug to protect the projects and development achieved and to continue efforts to advance the region’s development.
