President Hassan Sheikh Holds Sideline Meetings with World Leaders

NEW YORK, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held sideline meetings in New York with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić; the President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye; the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa; and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The meetings focused on strengthening relations and cooperation between Somalia and the respective countries, as well as issues related to peace, security, development and shared interests.

H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud briefed the leaders on Somalia’s progress and achievements in peace and security, state-building, democratisation, the economy and the development of social services, while also discussing opportunities for cooperation between Somalia and the respective countries.
