President Hassan Sheikh Highlights Somalia’s Investment Opportunities at Africa Business Forum

AL-ALAMEIN, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud participated in the Al-Alamein–Africa Business Forum in Al-Alamein, Egypt, bringing together African leaders, ministers, business leaders, investors and financial institutions.

In his address, the President discussed global economic and political developments and highlighted the importance of African cooperation and economic integration. He called for African countries to make better use of their natural resources, human capital and investment opportunities across African markets.

“Somalia is not only a country recovering from conflict; it is a country rebuilding and reforming its economy. We are open to trade and investment, and we welcome anyone ready to build with us,” President Hassan Sheikh said.

He called on African businesses, companies and international investors to explore opportunities in Somalia, stressing that productive investment is important for job creation, economic growth and sustainable development.

The President also emphasized that Africa’s economic future will depend on stronger cooperation and investment, with countries working together to advance trade, infrastructure, financing and the integration of markets.
