President Hassan Sheikh Commends Top 10 National Exam Students, Pledges Free Higher Education Opportunities

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with the 10 top-performing students in Somalia’s Grade 12 national secondary school examination, commending their dedication, perseverance and outstanding academic results.

The President congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue pursuing academic excellence. He pledged that students wishing to pursue further education inside Somalia would have access to free educational opportunities, as part of efforts to support academic talent and prepare the country’s next generation of leaders.

President Hassan Sheikh also announced plans for the establishment of another public university specialising in technology, which will provide quality higher education opportunities for Somali youth interested in modern sciences and technology.
