Parliament Speaker Discusses Peace in Southwest State

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Hon. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur (Jama), received a self-initiated peacebuilding committee comprising business leaders, religious scholars, and members of the diaspora to discuss peace and reconciliation in Southwest State.

The meeting focused on strengthening state-building, promoting community reconciliation, and consolidating peace and stability. The Speaker commended the committee’s initiative and emphasized the importance of collective efforts to advance peace, unity, and development in Southwest State.

Members of the House of the People also attended the meeting.
