PRESIDENT HASSAN SHEIKH RECEIVED THE SECRETARY-GENERAL OF THE MUSLIM WORLD LEAGUE

Mogadishu, (SONNA) -- The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, at the Presidential Palace, Villa Somalia on Friday.

The meeting discussed strengthening the relations between Somalia and the Muslim World League, particularly focusing on understanding the true meaning of Islam, countering and fighting against the extremist ideas and strengthening peace, advancing unity and community integration.

"The President thanked the Muslim World League for its supportive stances regarding the unity and sovereignty of Somalia, as well as its role in community development. He also emphasized the importance of strong cooperation to counter extremist ideologies and the misleading of youth."
