PM Hamza Urges SIMAD University Graduates to Use Their Knowledge to Serve Somalia

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, has urged Somali graduates to use the knowledge they have acquired to benefit the country and its people.

The Prime Minister made the remarks while attending a graduation ceremony for Somali students who completed postgraduate studies at SIMAD University.

H.E. Hamza congratulated the university administration and graduates on reaching the milestone, commending their perseverance and the university’s role in advancing higher education in Somalia.

He said SIMAD University has contributed to the development of educational curricula, research that benefits society, and the preparation of students equipped with quality knowledge and skills.

“Today, a new door of knowledge has opened for you. If what you have learned and how you conduct yourselves after entering that door are in conflict, it is a serious problem. If education does not change a person, and they remain as they were and continue doing what they used to do, then that education has not truly reached the person,” H.E. Hamza said.

The Prime Minister said the graduates had achieved an important goal through their perseverance, the patience and support of their parents, and the efforts of their teachers.
