PM Hamza Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Issues with his Qatari Counterpart

Doha, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, held a high-level meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, during his official visit to Qatar.
Prime Minister Hamza, accompanied by ministers and senior officials, briefed his Qatari counterpart on Somalia’s socio-economic situation, progress achieved in recent years, and the government’s efforts to strengthen security and stability.
The two Prime Ministers held extensive discussions on international and regional issues, with a focus on peace and security and opportunities for cooperation in addressing challenges affecting the smooth flow of global trade.
Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed commended Somalia’s progress and the efforts of the Federal Government, reaffirming the strong relations between the two countries and their commitment to continued cooperation.
Prime Minister Hamza expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Qatar for their support for Somalia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, particularly during recent challenges to the country’s sovereignty.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Hamza conveyed a message from the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, to the Qatari Prime Minister.
