PM Hamza Congratulates Top 3 Students in National Secondary School Exam

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre has congratulated Somali students who passed the national secondary school certificate examination and spoke by telephone with the top three students and their parents.

Prime Minister Hamza praised the students, their parents and the teachers who educated them for their continuous efforts, determination and patience throughout their education. He particularly noted that the achievement was the result of the students’ hard work, the support of their parents, and the efforts of teachers and the country’s education community, who worked together to ensure the students’ success.

“I congratulate the teachers, parents and the Somali people as a whole, particularly the country’s education community. Congratulations. A nation is built and transformed through its educated generation. Whenever our people become educated, we move closer to positive change,” Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre said.

The Prime Minister said the DanQaran administration is committed to ensuring that no Somali child of school-going age remains out of school, while encouraging Somali parents for supporting their children’s education.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre also pledged that the Somali Government would cover the full cost of education for the three students who achieved the highest ranks in the examination. They are:

1. Maxamed Ciise Daahir Yuusuf — Hawl-Wadaag School, Mogadishu-Banaadir.

2. Farxiya Faarax Cumar Cigaal — Ahmed Binu Hambal School, Kismayo-Jubaland.

3. Aamino Khaalid Cabdalla Axmed — Imaamu Shaafici (Sh. Madar) School, Mogadishu-Banaadir.
