OPM State Minister Visits Embassy in Tanzania, Meets Business Community

Arusha, (SONNA) — The State Minister of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hirsi Jama Gaani, has visited the Somali Embassy in Tanzania as part of his official visit to the country.
The State Minister was received by Somalia’s Ambassador to Tanzania, H.E. Ilyaas Ali Hassan, and officials of the Embassy, who briefed him on the Embassy’s activities and services to Somali citizens.
During the visit, the State Minister stressed the importance of strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations between Somalia and Tanzania, while calling for enhanced efforts to improve services provided to Somali nationals in Tanzania.
The State Minister and his delegation also held a dinner meeting with prominent members of the Somali business community in Tanzania. Discussions focused on the contribution of Somali entrepreneurs to the country’s economy, investment opportunities, and ways to further strengthen economic and trade relations between Somalia and Tanzania.
The engagement highlighted the important role of the Somali business community in promoting economic cooperation and fostering stronger people-to-people ties between the two countries.
