GENEVA (SONNA) — NUSOJ Secretary General Omar Faruk Osman delivered a Somali civil society statement at the 63rd UN Human Rights Council, contributing to discussions on human rights developments in Somalia, media freedom and aligning draft laws with Somalia’s international human rights commitments.

NUSOJ welcomed the establishment of the National Independent Human Rights Commission and encouraged support for its independent and effective work.
