NISA Director Concludes Reconciliation Meeting in Northern Galgaduud

Guriceel, (SONNA) — The Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Mohamed Salad, today officially concluded a reconciliation meeting that brought together two brotherly clans following a prolonged conflict that had negatively affected security and social cohesion in northern Galgaduud Region.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the NISA Director General underscored the importance of upholding the reconciliation agreement reached during the conference. He urged traditional leaders to play an active role in preserving the peace accord and instructed security agencies to take legal action against anyone who violates the agreement or attempts to undermine the peace achieved.
Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad commended the elders, traditional leaders, and all stakeholders who contributed to the reconciliation process, calling on communities to support the Federal Government’s efforts to control illegal weapons and maintain security in shared areas.
He emphasized that sustaining peace, strengthening coexistence, and promoting development require continued cooperation between communities, traditional leaders, and security institutions.
