Mogadishu Mayor, Saudi Ambassador Discuss Boosting Development Cooperation

Mogadishu(SONNA)– Benadir Regional Governor and Mogadishu Mayor Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Mungab) met Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mawlid, on Sunday to discuss strengthening cooperation on the development of the Somali capital.

The mayor briefed the ambassador on ongoing reconstruction efforts, improvements in public services, and priority infrastructure projects, while thanking Saudi Arabia for its continued support to Somalia.

Mungab called for closer collaboration with Saudi development agencies to help implement projects targeting roads, drainage systems, economic infrastructure, and essential public services.

Ambassador Al-Mawlid praised the Benadir administration's reconstruction efforts and pledged to strengthen coordination with Saudi institutions supporting development projects in Mogadishu.
