Minister of State Welcomes EALA Delegation

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation HE Ali Omar received Members of Parliament from the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) at the Ministry headquarters today.

The delegation comprised representatives from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, South Sudan and Somalia, and was accompanied by EAC Director General Mohamed Fatir.

The visiting parliamentarians expressed positive first-hand impressions of Somalia's peace and stability, and commended Mogadishu's visible development. The Minister, joined by departmental directors, outlined Somalia's strategic priorities within the EAC regional trade and called on the parliamentarians to support these initiatives at EALA.
