Minister of Agriculture meets Country Program Manager of UN Women in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Agriculture of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mihamed Abdi Hayir Maareeye is honored to welcome and meet with Ms. Rukaya Mohamed, Head of Office and Country Programme Manager of UN Women in Somalia at the Ministry’s HQ.

He discussed and agreed to strengthen our collaboration to empower, Somali women and girls in agriculture through capacity building, enhancing productivity, improving market access, promoting innovation, developing agricultural value chains, and advancing women’s economic empowerment.
