Interior Ministry Convenes Second Intergenerational Dialogue Forum on Peacebuilding and Governance

MOGADISHU (SONNA) – The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation has convened the Second Intergenerational Dialogue Forum on Peacebuilding and Governance, bringing together emerging leaders, women, persons with disabilities, civil society representatives, community leaders and government officials for discussions on Somalia’s governance and reconciliation priorities.
Building on the first forum held in September, the second dialogue provides a platform for citizens to engage directly with government institutions and discuss barriers to participation in decision-making processes.
Participants are discussing reconciliation, federalism, local governance, institutional accessibility and ways to strengthen engagement between government institutions and communities. The forum also seeks to ensure that perspectives from different sections of society contribute to institutional decision-making and public engagement.
