Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, joined the national launch of Somalia’s Juvenile Justice Act, underscoring the importance of a justice system that protects young people’s rights while creating pathways for rehabilitation, opportunity and positive participation in society.
Minister Hosh emphasized that strengthening juvenile justice goes beyond adopting legislation, stressing the need to build institutions capable of responding to the realities facing young people, protecting their rights and preventing vulnerable youth from being left behind.
The new legal framework represents an important step toward strengthening the rule of law, reinforcing accountable institutions and placing the protection and potential of Somalia’s next generation at the center of the country’s state-building agenda.
