Interior Minister Chairs Meeting on Preparations for Independence and Unity Days

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, and Chairperson of the National Committee for Independence and Unity Days of Somalia, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali (Hosh), chaired a meeting of the organizing committee overseeing preparations for the 66th anniversary celebrations of June 26 and July 1.

The meeting was hosted by the Minister of Family and Human Rights Development, Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi.

Discussions focused on the national significance of Independence and Unity Days, plans to commemorate the occasions across Somalia and abroad, and efforts to accelerate preparations for events involving various government institutions.

The meeting was attended by members of the Cabinet committee, technical committees, the Banadir Regional Administration, and security agencies involved in organizing the national celebrations.
