Information Minister Meets Staff Awarded Higher Education Opportunities in China

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdifatah Kasim Mohamud, received several ministry staff members who have been awarded higher education opportunities by the Government of China.

During the meeting, the Minister urged the staff members to make full use of the educational opportunity, emphasizing the importance of dedication to their studies, expanding their knowledge and strengthening their professional skills.

He encouraged them to return the knowledge, skills and experience gained through their studies to Somalia and the Ministry, contributing to improved public services, enhanced institutional capacity and the country’s broader development.

Minister Abdifatah expressed appreciation to the Government of China for its continued support to Somalia and for providing educational opportunities to Somali students and government employees, contributing to the development of human capital and professional capacity.

He also commended the Somali Embassy in Beijing for its efforts in facilitating and supporting educational opportunities for Somali students and government employees.
