Information Minister Heads to Azerbaijan for 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdifatah Qasim Mohamud, departed for Baku, Azerbaijan, on Sunday to participate in the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue 2026.

The international forum brings together government officials, diplomats, representatives of international organisations, academics and media professionals from various countries to promote intercultural understanding, peace, coexistence and cooperation.

During the forum, Minister Abdifatah Qasim is expected to deliver a speech highlighting Somalia’s rich culture, heritage and history, as well as the values of Somali society.

He will also underscore the role Somalia’s cultural heritage can play in promoting mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence and dialogue among communities worldwide.
