Information Minister Attends Launch of Arabic Translation of Former President’s Memoirs

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdulfatah Qasim Mohamud, attended an event in Mogadishu marking the launch of the Arabic translation of the memoirs of former Somali President, the late Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed.

Minister Abdulfatah commended the efforts to translate and publish the memoirs and expressed particular appreciation to Ustaad Mahmoud Issa Farah, who translated the book into Arabic.

The Minister stressed the importance of documenting, preserving and disseminating Somalia’s history, noting that written historical records help future generations understand the country’s different periods and the struggles that shaped Somalia’s statehood.
