IGAD Foreign Ministers Inspect New Headquarters Under Construction in Djibouti

Djibouti, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, joined foreign ministers from IGAD member states on Tuesday for an inspection visit to the new IGAD headquarters under construction in Djibouti.
The visit took place on the sidelines of the 74th Extraordinary Session of the IGAD Council of Ministers, currently being held in Djibouti.
The ministers received a briefing on the progress of construction of the new headquarters and welcomed the project, describing it as a visible symbol of IGAD’s institutional strengthening and consolidation in line with the organisation’s founding agreement.
The new headquarters is expected to further reflect IGAD’s institutional development and its role in promoting regional cooperation among member states.
