House Committee Discusses Civil Service Development and Legislation

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Social Services Development Committee of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia held a working meeting at its office in Villa Hargeysa, chaired by Committee Chairperson MP Nadra Salah Abdi.

The meeting focused on the overall situation of Somalia’s civil servants. Committee members agreed on the preparation and approval of Law No. 10 on the Civil Service Commission and Law No. 11 on the Civil Service.

The Committee emphasised the importance of accelerating efforts to develop and improve the capacity of government employees to strengthen public services and the functioning of government institutions.

Concluding the meeting, Committee Chairperson MP Nadra Salah Abdi stressed the importance of continuing efforts to improve the conditions of government employees.
