Ground Forces Commander Reviews Troop Readiness, Rewards Soldiers in Baidoa

Baidoa, (SONNA) — The Commander of the Somali National Army Land Forces, Brig. Gen. Sahal Abdullahi Omar “Gen. Khalid,” inspected SNA positions in Baidoa, where he also attended an award ceremony held for the 17th Brigade, 1st Battalion.
The commander thanked the troops for their service to the Somali people and their efforts to maintain security and combat armed groups. During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation and other awards were presented to officers and soldiers of the 17th Brigade in recognition of their dedication and performance.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the SNA 77th Brigade, Col. Maslah Mahmoud Mohamed, arrived in Masagawaa in Galgaduud Region, where he inspected the brigade’s positions and assessed the condition of troops and ongoing activities.
Col. Maslah visited the brigade’s bases in Masagawaa and surrounding areas and received briefings from officers and unit commanders on the security situation, military activities and services provided to local communities in eastern Galgaduud.
The inspections form part of ongoing efforts to assess troop readiness, monitor military activities and ensure forces remain prepared to carry out their security responsibilities and operations against Al-Shabaab.
