Foundation Stone Laid for Modern District Headquarters in Masagawaa

Masagawaa, (SONNA) — The foundation stone for a modern district administration headquarters was today laid in Masagawaa town, under Galcad District in the Galgaduud region, which will contribute to the reconstruction and development of the area as it recovers from the impact of Al-Shabaab militants.

The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by the district commissioner, religious scholars, women, youth and various segments of the local community. The project is being implemented by self-motivated youth from the area, led by Mr. Adan Rooble, the Director General of the Somali Development Bank, and other development projects are also planned for the town.

This is a good example of the role young people can play in rebuilding their areas, strengthening peace and improving community services.
