Foreign Minister Arrives in Belgrade Ahead of Non-Aligned Movement Meeting

Belgrade, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, arrived in Belgrade ahead of President H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who will lead Somalia’s delegation to the Non-Aligned Movement High-Level Meeting.

The Minister was warmly received by Serbia’s State Secretary, H.E. Nevena Jovanović, as Somalia prepares to participate in the high-level gathering.

Minister Abdisalam reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to the founding principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, including respect for sovereignty, peaceful coexistence, multilateralism and international solidarity.

He said Somalia remains committed to strengthening international cooperation and advancing shared principles through multilateral engagement.
