Deputy Foreign Minister Receives Sudanese Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali (Nadara), today received the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Somalia, H.E. Abdirahman Khalil Effendi, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.
The meeting focused on enhancing the longstanding ties between the two brotherly nations, broadening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, and exchanging views on regional and international developments.
Deputy Minister Hassan Mohamed Ali reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to deepening political and economic cooperation with Sudan, highlighting the enduring historical ties and close relations between the peoples of the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Abdirahman Khalil Effendi briefed the Deputy Minister on the latest security developments in Sudan and expressed appreciation for Somalia’s continued support and solidarity with his country.
The two sides concluded by reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordinating on issues of common interest.
