Deputy Foreign Minister Receives Copy of Credentials from EU Ambassador to Somalia

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali (Nadaara), on Friday received a copy of the credentials of the European Union’s newly appointed Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Laszlo Mathe, along with the letter of recall of his predecessor.
The Deputy Minister conveyed Somalia’s appreciation to the European Union for its continued support to the Federal Government of Somalia and its consistent backing for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali also reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with Ambassador-designate Mathe to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Somalia and the European Union in key areas, including peace and security, governance, trade and development.
The engagement reflects the continued efforts to deepen cooperation between Somalia and the European Union across areas of mutual interest.
