Defence Minister, SNA Commander Inspect 21st Division Headquarters in Dhuusamareeb

Dhusamareb, (SONNA) — The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, accompanied by the Chief of Defence Forces of the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF), Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, today visited the headquarters of the SNAF 21st Division in Dhuusamareeb.

The Commander of the 21st Division, Colonel Mohamed Abdi Dahir, briefed the Minister of Defence and the Chief of Defence Forces on the overall situation at the headquarters, the Division’s ongoing activities, and the duties being carried out in service of the nation.

The Minister urged the officers and personnel of the 21st Division to remain steadfast in carrying out their national duties, protecting the country and the Somali people, and contributing to strengthening security and stability across the country.

The Minister also called on the personnel to uphold discipline, unity and cohesion within the Somali National Armed Forces and to remain ready at all times to fulfil their national duties.

The visit by the Minister of Defence and the Chief of Defence Forces forms part of ongoing efforts to inspect and assess the activities and operational readiness of SNAF commands.
