Defence Minister Fiqi Receives Egyptian Ambassador and Military Delegation

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today received a visiting delegation of military officers at his office, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Salah Keshtah.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations, with both sides exchanging views on matters of mutual interest and advancing defence and security cooperation.

Minister Fiqi commended Egypt’s support for safeguarding Somalia’s sovereignty and unity, as well as its assistance to Somalia’s efforts to combat terrorism and rebuild the Somali National Armed Forces.
