Defence Minister Appoints New Ministry Spokesperson

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, has appointed First Lieutenant Mohamed Abdullahi Abdirahman as Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence.

The appointment forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Ministry’s public relations, media engagement and dissemination of official information.

The Minister instructed the newly appointed Spokesperson to discharge his responsibilities with professionalism and accountability, strengthen engagement between the Ministry and the public, and ensure the timely and consistent communication of official information concerning the Ministry’s activities.
