Banaadir Governor Launches Middle School Certificate Examinations

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banaadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), on Monday officially launched the Middle School Certificate Examinations across Banaadir Region, with more than 46,000 students sitting for the exams this year.
The examinations are being conducted at 125 centers across the districts of Banaadir Region following extensive preparations aimed at ensuring the smooth administration of the tests, the security of examination centers, and the integrity of the examination process.
Special arrangements have also been introduced this year to accommodate students with disabilities, ensuring equal access and participation in the examinations.
“Each examination center has been equipped with medical teams, emergency response vehicles, and fire and rescue personnel to respond to any situation that may arise during the examination period,” said Abdirahman Ali Mohamed, Director General of the Banaadir Regional Administration’s Education Directorate.
Governor Muungaab wished the students success and affirmed that the regional administration will continue its tradition of recognizing and rewarding top-performing students, as it did last year.
For the first time, Sudanese students studying in Mogadishu are participating in the examinations, highlighting the capital’s role in supporting education and providing essential services to displaced and refugee communities.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor for Social Affairs, Abdiaziz Osman Mohamed, the Commander of the Banaadir Regional Police Division, Mahdi Omar Mumin (Macallin Mahdi), and other officials from the Banaadir Regional Administration.
