Aviation Ministry Reviews Plans to Modernize Aviation and Transport Sectors

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Farah Nouh, chaired a high-level meeting focused on advancing the country’s aviation sector, modernising airports and improving the national land transport system.
The meeting reviewed future plans to develop and modernise airport services, with particular attention to airport infrastructure and strengthening aviation safety and security.
Officials also discussed measures to improve the safety, efficiency and overall organisation of land transport services to deliver meaningful improvements that respond to the needs of the Somali public.
The meeting was attended by the State Minister and Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, the Ministry’s Director General, the Director General of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), the Manager of Somali Airlines and the Deputy Manager of Aden Abdulle International Airport (AAIA).
