Auditor General Attends 50th Anniversary of Arab Supreme Audit Institutions Organization

Amman, (SONNA) — The Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Ahmed Issa Guutaale, attended the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), held from August 13 to 15, 2026, in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
The three-day event highlighted ARABOSAI’s cooperation and progress in strengthening public auditing, enhancing knowledge, capacity and understanding of auditing skills, while member institutions shared their professional and academic experiences.
At the 50th anniversary forum, the Auditor General presented the role and contribution of the Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia in strengthening accountability, transparency and good governance. He also highlighted the importance of cooperation through ARABOSAI, of which the Office is a full member.
Among the key issues presented during the event was how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be utilized to strengthen the protection and safeguarding of public resources and assets.
The Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia continues to strengthen and enhance its relations and cooperation with auditing institutions at the regional and international levels to improve public service and governance.
