Mogadishu (SONNA) – A fire broke out in the commercial market of Hodan district this morning which caused extensive damage, in the Sebiyaano neighborhood of Mogadishu.
The blaze, which started around 8:00 am, spread to a commercial warehouse near the scene of the blaze and completely destroyed the main warehouse in the area.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and it took them about three hours to put out the blaze.
The Hodan district commissioner of the Banadir region and officials arrived at the scene, they said that most of the fire has now been extinguished.
