32 killed, 63 others injured in suicide bombing in Mogadishu’s Liido beach

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Somali Federal Government has on Saturday strongly condemned the deadly terrorist suicide bomb attack and fighting at Liido beach on Friday evening in which the terrorists targeted innocent civilians at Beach View Hotel in Mogadishu’s Abdiaziz district.

Police Forces Spokesperson, Abdifitah Aden Hassan told reporters that 32 people were killed and 63 civilians others were injured in such heinous, saying the security forces took swift action against terrorists to rescue civilians.

He added that the security forces are currently dealing with a suspected car parked at the area while monitoring the situation closely.

“The Security forces killed all the terrorists at the scene and captured another one who was driving a car filled with explosives, he shot and injured. We lost one soldier and another one sustained injuries”, Hassan said.
