Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdifatah Kasim confirmed to the Parliament that 14 officers have been arrested in connection with the explosion that took place at Jalle Siyaad military training camp in Mogadishu on the 24th of this month.
The Minister said that the commander of the camp has been arrested and an investigation is underway on the members arrested and other senior officers.
“As the investigation continues, anyone who is found connected to the incident will be brought before justice”, he added.
The minister also noted that the case is being investigated by a committee made up of security agencies such as NISA, the police, and the Ministry of Defense.
